NEIGHBORHOOD POOL

Our neighborhood pool is set on a gorgeous peninsula overlooking Lake Hickory. The pool is open from mid-May through mid September from 9 AM - 9 PM.

The pool is available for use by dues-paying members plus up to 5 guests per household.

Pool chairs are available as well as a shaded patio area. There is no lifeguard on duty.

The pool webcam is available for remote viewing, handy for checking to see how much room is available at the pool before heading over. Instructions for webcam viewing may be found in the Members Area under Documents.

Pool key fobs are available from the Property Manager, one per household. Replacement fobs may be purchased for a fee, and the original fob will be de-activated.

CLUBHOUSE

Our neighborhood clubhouse is a beautiful facility that can accommodate 99 people. The lower level has a wet bar, bar fridge, bar seating and sofas, smart TV, restrooms and storage area with full size refrigerator. The upper level has a smart TV, folding tables, cocktail tables and chairs, as well as access to a private deck area overlooking the pool and the lake.

The clubhouse may be rented by MFOA members in good standing for private events. A security deposit and rental fee is required at time of booking. That member is responsible for and must be present during the rental. The pool is not included in the clubhouse rental - the regular pool policy applies where the pool is available to members only and up to 5 guests per household.

CLUBHOUSE GROUNDS

The grounds around the clubhouse are a beautiful place to enjoy time with your family and neighbors. The area is for MFOA members and your MFOA decal must be visible on the lower left of your car windshield in order to park at the clubhouse. Decals may be requested in the Members Area under Documents.

There are decks overlooking the lake to enjoy on sunny days, for a nice outdoor meal, or for sunset viewing. The lower deck is always available to MFOA residents. The upper deck may be unavailable when the clubhouse is rented.

There are stairs to access the lake on the cove side - great place to launch kayaks and stand-up paddle boards. There's even a local company that rents and delivers them!

MOORE'S FERRY MARINA

The beautiful Moore's Ferry Marina has forty-eight 20-foot slips, some covered and some uncovered. The Marina Association is a separate organization with its own governing document and Board of Directors. Only members of MFOA may become members of the Marina Association and be assigned a slip. Memberships may be available for purchase from time to time, when someone is willing to sell theirs. The Property Manager maintains a list of memberships and slips, and manages the day to day operation of the marina. Yearly dues are collected to pay for maintenance, lake usage fees and insurance. The Marina Association Board of Directors are listed in the Members Section.

COMMUNITY EVENTS

Moore's Ferry is a welcoming, friendly community. We host a number of events for residents to enjoy:

Monthly socials at the clubhouse, the first Friday of each month from 5:30-7:30 PM. Beverages and light snacks are provided. All ages welcome!
Spring and fall neighborhood yard sale.
Outdoor summer social with a light picnic-style meal provided.
Live music on the deck.
Neighborhood Halloween Parade where families and children 'parade' in their costumes from the entrance to the clubhouse where we all enjoy pizza and drinks.
Other neighborhood events as arranged by neighbors. We've had line dancing classes, movie nights, wine tasting events, etc.

NEIGHBORHOOD SECURITY

Security Guards: We have a combination of security guards and police patrolling the neighborhood.

Security Cameras: Cameras are installed at strategic locations. A centrally located DVR records the camera output and is made available in case of any suspected criminal activity.

Webcams: The cameras serving the pool and the parking lot can viewed remotely. Handy for security as well as checking to see how much room is at the pool before heading down.
